Dvorak family and Adam, my son texted me the news while I was traveling back home from my wife and I's twenty fifth anniversary trip. At first, I didn't believe it. Then I saw the newsletter and was immediately convinced this wasn't a donation ploy by John. My wife hit me in the mouth several 100 episodes ago and have not missed a single one. My oldest son and I often discussed the episodes whenever we had a chance to chat, we loved the show. Given John's larger than life persona and his apparently infinite pool of knowledge of literally every subject, I always assumed he'd always be here entertaining with stories and broadening our horizons. His perspective on life is something I will always remember fondly even in the most turbulent times and when most people become frantic and anxious, John will bring a calming energy to the conversation with wit, sarcasm, and a touch of grumpiness and everything would seem okay. Though I never met him or had dinner at his house, I enjoyed email conversations with him on some topics. I'd given some boots on the ground reports on, he was very and he was very interesting and insightful. He has certainly made a lasting impact on my life and I will miss hearing his voice each week. The Dvorak family and Adam, please know we share in your sadness and offer our condolences and prayers for comfort during this difficult time. I pray God grants you strength and peace. John, you are a hero to many including me. Thank you for all the wonderful wisdom, insightful analysis, and hilarious commentary over the years.
