On 07/23, I was hoping to enjoy another episode of the best podcast in the universe, but the feed wasn't showing an update as the usual at the usual time. Instead, I tuned in to We Get To Do This and was shocked to hear about John's passing. No Agenda has been part of my life since 2008. It has always been something to look forward to on Sundays and Thursdays. Having quit TV around the same time, it quickly became my main source of news. The show has been with me through all kinds of highs and lows. I have good memories of tending the grill as I cook Sunday dinner for me and my parents, accompanied by you and John discussing the latest news, international conflict, disease outbreak, or beauty pageant. When anything major happened in the world, the first thing I'd think was, I wonder what John and Adam are going to say. I was fully expecting you two would make it to 2000 and beyond. Every time either of you hinted at ending the show, I thought maybe listeners could donate so much money, you would be indebted to continue the show as our media analysis slaves ad finitum. I love John's sense of humor, laughter, and quick wit and followed him across the Internet from No Agenda to Twit, Cranky Geeks, Tech five, DH Unplugged, and A New Domain. He was the crazy uncle we all wish we had with the best stories and funniest quips. Listen to the John stories episode several times. Adam has been remarkable hearing about your faith journey and encouraging to me even as a fellow believer. I hope your walk with Christ was meaningful to John and changed his heart in some way. This is my first real donation though I did get my official No Agenda challenge coin back in 2010. I'll happily take a de douche. And you could knight me sir okay of the Middle Desert and I'd like root beer and soft pretzels at the round table. There will be another there will never be another John, but I hope no Agenda continues on in some form. Gitmo Nation Media Assassinations never get old. Praying for all who grieve John's passing, he will be so missed. Owen from Tucson. A few months ago, I attempted to get AI to generate a picture of John's office based on the tidbits of information we have gotten from him over the years. Phrase from the chaise, mudflats, red book, the archives, piles of cans, noisemakers, spreadsheets that won't fit on the screen.
