I was first introduced to the show by Brian the drunk millennial back in 2015. He used to say, you have to listen to three shows to get into it, and that was true for me. I used to only catch drips and drops riding in the truck with Brian but one day I started on my own and then I was hooked. Been here ever since and I'm so thankful. When I saw the newsletter title, I thought it was one of John's clever ploys. I had missed the newsletter when it came out as I worked a long day in the woods out of service and I saw it at 03:30 in the morning while having my morning coffee. When I opened it and saw the photo of John, that sense of dread welled up and when I read the memoriam, I was gutted. I seldom cry but the rendition of I'm gonna miss you in the morning last show got me. You too have been with me for timber cruising the redwoods, hours of making timber and laying out harvests until across California, surveying plantations in Oregon, and long drives across the Western States planting more than 10,000,000 seedlings. Y'all got me through it all after eleven years. I've come to think of you and John as friends and mentors. You've both meant so much and I can't believe John is gone. When I started listening, I jumped in quickly. I started trying to get to knighthood but in 2020, I was diagnosed with chronic Lyme and had a kid to boot. I could never pay Value4Value and after that, my finances were drained. I always wanted to get there and with this donation, I finally reached knighthood. A day late and a thousand dollars short of what real value for value would be. I would like to be certain man morning night. For the round table, could you order up John's favorite? Y'all have always been in my prayers and even more so lately. I'm sorry for the rambling, I guess I just don't know how to put all of these thoughts and feelings together.
