- 1889 — Producer's Tribute to JCD$333.33
As a proud No Agenda producer and family member coming up on a year, I've been struggling with much grief since learning of John C. Dvorak's passing earlier this week. God, I miss him. His reason, wisdom, biting wit, dry acerbic humor, experienced hardened insights, consistent grousing, unbridled skepticism, and curmudgeonly demeanor. All those prickly idiosyncrasies, he gracefully filled the role of a sensible contrarian, a true grouchy gentleman and scholar. My sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers are with Dvorak and Curry families and with the broader No Agenda producer community. I consider all of you my first responders. I shackle myself to every show and wait each week with bated breath for the next episodes. JC and Adam formed a duo unmatched in the mainstream media. Their quibbling banter and jocularity is deliciously entertaining while delivering thought provoking MSM deconstruction. This is why the No Agenda show is the greatest podcast in the universe. Let's keep it going. The news of JCD's passing was communicated to me by my 25 year old Gen Z son, my only child, via text on Tuesday. My first thought, really my hope was that it might be some gambit and atomism cooked up by JCD to boost donations. I so deeply wish that was true. I called my son later that day to talk about what this loss meant to both of us. He told me that he had recently begun listening to every No Agenda episode from the very first one simply because he wanted to be entertained and enlightened by the full breadth of the No Agenda show podcast. I'm truly proud of this fine young lad. At the risk of arousing JCD's legendary Buzzkilling grousing, I'll add two brief personal notes. First, after hearing him and Adam question why Texans preferred Keb Paxson over John Cornyn, I emailed John with boots on the ground inside explaining why most sensible Texans found Cornyn a proven rhino and were willing to accept Paxson's baggage. They shifted their stance in the next show. Maybe I played a small part, maybe not. Either way, it felt like a contribution. Second, I recently sent JCD a LinkedIn request, half expecting no reply from someone of his stature. He accepted on 07/16/2026, only ten days before the news that now compounds my profound sadness. I'd hoped and planned to meet JCD in person one day. I guess we'll have to wait until I'm on the other side of the pearly gates with him. I was already blessed to meet Adam and his lovely keeper Tina at a No Agenda meet up in Fredericksburg last April. Rest in peace John C. Dvorak, JCD. Legendary Buzzkill, a good sir.
