Hi, Adam and team. I am so sorry for your loss. In remembrance of John, I thought you might like to hear how No Agenda, especially John as a fellow Bay Area resident, played a part in our love story. When my husband Josh and I started dating during COVID, our first real test of compatibility was sharing our favorite podcasts. I, a reformed angry New Yorker, listens to soothing gentle voices like Ira Glass and Renee Brown who told stories of humanity and perseverance. Josh, on the other hand, a represented agitator at heart, raised on a strict Bay Area diet of good vibes only listen to you, Adam and John, who always seemed to be yelling loudly about corruption everywhere. It just wasn't for me. Adam's voice raised my cortisol levels. John was slightly easier on the ears, but I mostly listened just to connect with Josh with whom I was slowly growing to love. Over the years though, I grew to genuinely appreciate the show. Hell, even Adam's voice grew on me. But for Josh, this show became a significant part of his support system during the hardest period in his life, brutal divorce and custody battle, stressful career. Josh and I come from a vastly different world. On paper, we're not compatible. And your show was a major factor in propelling our relationship forward. Listening, pausing, talking, listening again to your voices made us realize that our compatibility wasn't in identical backgrounds or viewpoints, but rather in our willingness to engage in hard conversations and lovingly challenge each other's perceived belief system. And that has become a building block in our marriage today. Ira Glass sure as hell didn't help us grow as a couple. And for that, I am forever grateful. We will miss you, John. Adam, you got this. Much love and respect. The Cohans.
