My sincerest condolences to John's family, friends, and loved ones. Please take solace in knowing that John made a profoundly positive impact on this earth, and he will be truly missed by a huge number of people you will never know. I learned so much from John since the early days of PC Magazine as he reminded me of one final truth, that life is too damn short and uncertain. If I could pass him one piece of advice, it would be that there are far better ways to increase donations. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
