Hello Adam, Mimi, Jay, and the Dvorak family. In this time of grief, I want to share an unusual story about the effect John had on one life. I stumbled across a PC mag issue in 2003 when I was 18. I started reading and got captivated by John's column. He wrote about technology in a way nobody else did, with his unique combination of wit, depth, and opinionated independence. From that moment on, I knew what I wanted to do. I wanted to follow in his footsteps. I followed his career for twenty three years and was always enlightened by the way he took everything in a way that wasn't totally serious, but well thought of. His takes on things were always original and thought provoking and the sense of humor was endearing even when I didn't get the jokes. I consider John the most influential person in my life after my parents. I will miss him dearly. Mimi and the family, we will all cherish his memory. His mark on the world will outlast us all.
